If you are considering joining Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation, we invite you to attend our Salon Issues Series. Join us to engage in relevant, interesting, and valued conversation to build community and increase our understanding of important issues.

The Salon Series will take place in various venues with different formats including conversations with experts, book readings and discussions, theater performances, and more.


Tuesday December 11, 2018, 7:30pm

Leading the Path for Equality in Israel.  A conversation with Barbara Swirski Executive Director of Adva Center: Information on Equality and Social Justice in Israel. 

Sunday, January 6, 2019, 2:00 pm Theater matinee.

Just before the new Congress is sworn in, we will attend a performance of She the People at Woolly Mammoth Theatre. This all-women’s comedy from Second City will be followed by a discussion at a Penn Quarter restaurant.

Wednesday, February 6, 2019, 7:00 pm

We will read Into the Beautiful North, by Luis Alberto Urrea. This quest novel is set in the present day, in the highly charged world of the U.S.-Mexico border region.

Monday, April 15, 2019, 7:00 pm

It is Passover, creating a timely opportunity to contemplate modern day slavery, refugees, and human trafficking through a gender lens. We will host a panel discussion of experts in the field.

It’s almost summer and a great time to celebrate Jewish food. We will have a discussion on Food, Hunger and Jewish values complemented by a cooking demonstration with delicious food to enjoy.
