“Conversations Without Women are Not Cool”

Last week, Gail Reimer of Jewish Women’s Archive posted a thought-provoking, and very relevant, call-for-action regarding the necessary inclusion of women in public panels.  This was sparked by an upcoming JCC lecture series at the Boston JCC that will  “discuss hot issues, ask questions, and add to the conversation with notable experts in their fields as we tackle politics, faith, economics, Israel, and culture through a Jewish lens.” There will be nine panelists at this event, all of which are male. The decision by the event organizers to exclude women panelists forced Gail ask this question - ”Is it really that hard to find great women who can speak about politics and truth? About the state of Jewish belief? About young American Jews?”  Read Gail’s article here.
