The Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation of Greater Washington has awarded grants to organizations locally and in Israel that support social change for women and girls since 2006.
TOWF is pleased to be accepting Letters of Inquiry for the 2012 Grants Cycle. The submission deadline is Thursday, December 15, 2011. If your organization is interested in applying for a grant, we ask that you visit www.towf.org for a complete list of our previous years’ grantees, guidelines, and eligibility criteria.
Please note that we will no longer be accepting unsolicited Letters of Inquiry from organizations in Israel.
We thank you for considering The Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation as a prospective partner in your work and encourage you to contact us with any questions you may have about the application process. This will assist you in determining if and how your idea might fit within our current goals and objectives of social change for women and girls.
In the 2012 grant cycle, TOWF will be funding:
1) Washington, D.C. metropolitan area organizations creating social change for Jewish women and girls of all ages.
2) Pre-selected organizations in Israel addressing social change for Jewish and non-Jewish women and girls of all ages in Israel through the following avenues: Advocacy, Legal Rights, Public Policy, or Employment Skills. These programs must be operating on a national or regional level and/or can serve as a model to be replicated in other parts of the country.
3) Pre-selected Washington, D.C. metropolitan area organizations focused on social change for low-income immigrant women.
For more information on the pre-selection process or any of the eligibility criteria, please review TOWF’s grant guidelines, and contact the Foundation’s Director, Sara Gorfinkel, at 301-348-7376 or sara@towf.org.
